King talks about Evil (with a capital E). ![]() What roles did women play in this story? How were they stereotyped? Why would King choose to make the protagonist a man instead of a woman? How would the novel be different if Mark Petrie were a girl? What about if Susan Norton were the main hero rather than Ben Mears?.Why is this story set in a small town in Maine? Would the story be affected if it took place elsewhere, such as a large city?.I thought the horror was exciting but not too terrifying, and the writing got me hooked from page one. I was captivated by the vampires slow takeover of the town, and I was endlessly rooting for Ben and his group’s success. I read this book almost ten years ago… I don’t remember a ton of the nitty gritty details, but I know I loved it. Review: Well, I have very little to say in this review. This evil stranger is unleashing untold evils upon the small town, and the only way to stay safe is not invite anyone in. However, he’s not the only person who’s come to this small community. Summary: Ben Mears has returned to ‘Salem’s Lot to tap into his inspiration for his new book. ![]()
